ALWAYS CONTACT THE DIVE MANAGER BEFORE
GOING ON THE DIVE.
For most day dives it is alright to call
up to a few nights before the event to let the Dive Manager know
you are interested in an dive. However if the boat is being used
on a day dive it is best to give at least a week's notice. For club
trips it is best to register your interest as soon as you possibly
can - most weekend trips fill up very quickly and organisers need
to know numbers to book accommodation etc.
IMPORTANT - Can dive managers please
forward dive logs to the dive officer as soon after the dive as
possible. Any incident should be reported to the dive officer
urgently once the immediate needs of managing the incident have
been dealt with. Please bear in mind that weather forecasts may affect
plans for diving in the sea. Sea diving is by nature weather
dependant, therefore sea dives may need to be cancelled or changed
because of the weather. Also on occasions we may try to arrange
sea dives at short notice.
